"I believe in the ocean curing all bad moods" I don't actually! "Hold one another high up on our shoulders" This is a nice thought. "Sometimes the best thing you can do is not think" Not sure of the benefits of this. They are nice words and its always nice to read nice words. However, what are we trying to achieve by cutting and pasting them on to Facebook? What do we expect will happen? What do we want to happen?
When we are anxious, feeling stuck and disappointed with our life it is easy to fall into the trap of accepting these feelings. A sense of martyrdom can develop and we can easily start wearing the I'm not good enough badge. I'm hard done by, nothing is my fault, if only things were different, I don't deserve this rubbish. We don't like these beliefs and we don't like who we are but as time goes on they feel comfortable.
While we are in this state of not having to do anything to change our situation, we don't have to make decisions to improve our happiness. We trawl thorough social media to read and share all of the inspirational quotes.
Well I have another way of doing things and it really works!
How about I wake up one morning, possibly after another sleepless and worry filled night or an argument with a loved one? I then make a decision that this is the day I will start to make changes. I decide that I will not own the negative thoughts any more and I decide that this is the first day of the rest of my life. I may write this down and then I reach out for the professional Master life coaching which will open up my mind to stuff I never dreamed possible?
